Description:

1993 Cadillac Allante

I have a nice driver class 110,000 mile Cadillac Allante for sale. It handles well, no strange vibrations or sounds. Has great power. No issues with the NorthStar, no leaks on the driveway. Temperature gauge and oil pressure good. Gets great gas mileage.
This was purchased from the local Cadillac dealer for $5600 to accompany my 1976 Coupe deVille and tag team mileage for Cadillac LaSalle Club events. It therefore received a full Cadillac dealership inspection prior to sale, including new battery, expensive oil change (Northstars get 9 quarts of synthetic). It came with a Carfax report which showed a new transmission at 57,000 miles, and various maintenance. Comes with phenomenal name brand touring tires with full tread, as mentioned new battery.
Everything seems to work well, including power windows, heat A/C, and look at that interior! No hash or wear on the drivers Parchment Leather seat, previous owner was a woman. The body has 2 dings and some wear consistent with original paint.
One ding is on the drivers rear wheel well and one on the passenger door, clear coat peel on flat spot of front and rear bumper but not on hood or trunk. Paint is great, really shiny otherwise.
Comes with upgrade chromed Cadillac wheels, cloth top is perfect. Exhaust looks and sounds perfect. They taped over third row light? Not sure why. Glass rear convertible window is fine, and is tinted. Power accessories all work, mirrors, doors, power seat, lights work, window wipers work, no chips or cracks in glass.
Starts great, runs great. It is what it is - which is a great low cost "just for fun" car. These cost, as everyone points out - $70,000 new. This is the last year for the Allante. This one does not have the optional fixed roof, and comes thankfully with clear crisp analog gauges like a true sports car. Not the digital dash. I encourage a potential buyer to look around craigslist and ebay for a better Allante price. You will not find one. The true low mileage Allante's are asking priced around $10,000. The beater Allante's are around $6500. The key here is it was traded in at Des Moines' Cadillac dealer which has a 70 + year history with Cadillac and they had such confidence in it's condition that they placed it on their lot for sale, where I bought it.
No check engine lights. No ABS lights, exhaust looks newer. TOTALLY CLEAN CLEAR NO LIEN IOWA TITLE IN MY NAME. As mentioned I have $5600 in this car with recent tax title and license.
As far as pick up and driving, I would drive this car as far as needed, meaning 500 to 700 miles, but this car will likely sell locally or within metropolitan areas around me. That does not mean I will deliver the car to you, that means I am confident it can be picked up by you and driven home.
Bring a partner and drive home I believe. Don't discount that value of dealership inspection and honest description here - when you compare this car to the other Allantes with minimal information on Craigs List.
Polo Green is a great color for this car. Black top is expensive cloth and has a quality expensive liner cabriolet style inside. Chrome wheelset elevates this car's elegance. But the most impressive aspect is that original and very nice interior when most cars with 109,000 miles are showing the wear. This car was pampered.
CLEAR IOWA TITLE NO LIENS.
Please be respectful and ask questions if needed. I don't know much about it but it starts well, runs well, comes with a Carfax from the dealer which shows no accidents, no rust, no issues not already resolved. All that for bargain basement pricing.
Known issues are mainly cosmetic - the 2 dings I have found which may be corrected by dentless repair, some clear coat issues on part of the flat surfaces. None of these issues I felt were deal breakers for a $5500 car. You decide on this no reserve, must go auction, old style with no stupid reserve that leaves you guessing. Bid what you think it's worth, drive it home, enjoy the heck out of it and the thumbs up from other cars.

Folks - this is a relist due to a non bidding final buyer. This is a no reserve auction. He sent me something after the auction stating "how about $1500." I will not take an offer off ebay unless the car does not sell.

All I ask for is a serious buyer and not a person that uses ebay auctions for entertainment. It's a marketplace, plain and simple, where buyers like myself go to sell specialty vehicles for a great loss, but are motived to move an item. You bid what you believe it is worth. I have over $5500 in the car. It has a clean, transferable title.

Please note ebay charged me for the last auction $125, and supposedly they reimburse or make right but that is NOT the case. They want another $50 + listing fee plus final value fees. PLEASE be serious about your bidding, even if it is not much. I placed an order to cancel the last auction, which ebay did and those buyers (2 auctions) got by scot free with no damage to their ebay status, but I lost $200 to ebay. ebay wants their money plain and simple. I simply can not afford to list my cars over and over again so ebay can get their money, and the bidders have no skin in the game.

PLEASE. I honestly describe cars, where I know many other people do not. They leave out a lot of details. Ask questions, I am glad to answer. Marriage dissolution is the reason for the sale.
