Description:

1962 Cadillac DeVille convertible deville

I own a restoration shop and this is a car I am selling for a customer. He has owned it for 15 years and I have serviced it since then. It has always had oil changes and anything else it needed done by me. Most recent is a rebuilt generator and a new fuel pump. The brakes were done about 2 years ago as was a complete engine tune.
Overall the car is really nice. Great paint with just a couple of small flaws. A nice leather interior with the bucket seats redone in vinyl. The dash pad is very good with no cracks. All the E Z eye (tinted) glass is clear and crack free. Most all the chrome and bright work is in perfect condition. The weakest spot in the chrome is the rear bumper. Still shiny but lightly hazing across the top. All the window trim and dash are near perfect with no visible wear or pitting. Mechanically the engine is strong but leaks a few drops of oil. The transmission sifts as it should and it drives very well. The air conditioning works but needs a R 12 charge.
Here are some things it needs or needs to be done... Both front kick panels should be redone. The carpeting on them is loose and the backing is cracked. Any upholstery shop can do this. All the power windows, including the wing windows work well but it needs two power window switches for the two rear quarter glasses. The power seat does not work. The convertible top is nice but the back window should be replaced. It's a little scratchy and not 100% clear. The top mechanism works fine.
So the long and short of it is this is a really nice car that drives great, looks great and needs very little. Get in and go.
