Description:

1964 Buick Riviera 2 door

1964 Buick Riviera 2 Door Coupe
Few cars capture the forward swept aggressive look of the 1963-64 Riviera. During a time when a rising counter culture clashed against conformity and the space race was in full bloom, the Riviera was Buick's contribution to this new evolving era. With its bold headlights and free flowing body lines, the Riviera is in itself an iconic image of the early 60's. Raising the bar for sporty comfort, the early Riv's were the perfect blend of luxury and muscle!
I'm selling this timeless '64 Riviera for a friend who is thinning out his collection. The car is turn-key and ready for the road! It's a smooth runner and a seriously fun California cruiser! Sporting a solid patinated exterior, the interior is refreshed and new. Even the glove box door lays flat, something you don't see very often on early Rivis. Much effort has been put into making this a reliable daily driver and I can guarantee more money has been recently put into its cosmetics than the cars worth. But,as the saying goes-they're loss is your gain! Here's just a few of the items:
Refinished wheels
Refinished front & rear bumpers
Refinished running lamp globes
New chromed horse shoes
New head liner
New carpet
New front & rear seat upholstery
Rebuilt clock
New carburetor
Its 340hp 425ci "nailhead" Engine was rebuilt by previous owner and has less than 10k miles since rebuild (compression test available upon request).
It starts up easily, doesn't smoke, steering is smooth, shifts correctly, suspension feels tight, all the exterior and interior lights work as they should. Rear trunk pan does have corrosion, otherwise the car is solid. If your looking for a garage queen that only gets ponied from show to show atop a trailer, this car is not for you. It is set up to be reliably driven cruiser.
Paint it, bag it or just enjoy as is, this '64 will put a smile on your face!
I encourage anyone who is serious about bidding to contact me with any questions.
I also encourage serious bidders to have a loo, in person, before they commit.
