Description:

1969 Buick Skylark

Selling my 1969 Buick Skylark (Special Deluxe Model) Is is currently not a Running Car

Odometer shows 315629 miles, but I honestly don't know if those are the original miles and odometer. Title in hand and ready to transfer ownership.

I have owned the car for about 6 years, bought it from a guy in Vista CA. Car has been garaged the entire time I have owned it. I have not driven it far, only around the block. Which it is sad! I would like to do a resto mod, but no time and no money. When it ran a month ago, it was solid and Fast! But it doesn't crank now, I am assuming it is the Starter, Alternator, or Ignition switch, or all of the above.

That said, a month ago I started the car as I have been doing for the past 6 years, but the last time I ran it for 20 minutes, turned it off, then back on and it just did not want to crank, lights go on the dash, but no start, I turn the key and nothing happens, I want to say that it has to be that darn ignition switch, but I don't know for sure, I think it is ready for a new owner, the right owner is out there, I am just not the right owner at this time in my life. If this is your future project, then bid, and thank you.

Lastly, I have a couple of box with parts, and the original parts I removed with new ones, I also have a binder with a brief history from the previous owner which shows engine reconditioning done a year or two before I purchased it from him, and other work. I also have what appears to be the original build sheet. I also have the chrome trim that goes around the front and rear windshields.

Car Information:

  • 8Cyl 350 with Edelbrock 4 Barrel Carb
  • Has Headers
  • Interior floor is solid, no damage from rust (see pictures, I cleaned and sprayed sound dampening paint a year ago, then put in new carpet and the seats.
  • Could be a great Project for anyone
  • The tags are good until October 2018
  • Seats were Reupholster in the past 4 years
  • I have the original build sheet for the car.

Recent Work (past year)

  • New Water Pump
  • New Radiator
  • New Rear and front Shocks
  • New Rear Shoes
  • I have the front shoes, new in the box, I have not installed them. I am too lazy to do so.

Negatives

  • To the best of my knowledge, the car needs light to medium bodywork and a paint job
  • Trunk had rust so has huge opening that I created in an attempt to weld new trunk floor panel, but yes, I got too lazy and didn't complete the work, bought trunk floor Panel from Rock Auto. It is sitting in the trunk with other parts.
  • NO AC (had AC at some point, build sheet says it had AC)
  • And to the best of my knowledge, it has a few cosmetics issues here and there that need to be addressed.
  • Leaks Transmission Fluid (I have the pan Gasket and filter new in the box) and yes you guessed it, too lazy to replace :)

Let me know if you have more questions.
