Finished in Calypso red metallic over bone tan leather hides, this 25 year-old BMW E31 chassis coupe has been driven just over 134,000 miles since purchased new for about $90,000! It sports a nice running 5.0 liter 296 horsepower V12 engine mated to the factory 4 speed automatic transmission. Stopping power is provided by four wheel disc brakes with anti-lock. THE BODY AND TRIM
The exterior of this 1992 BMW is in good 99.9% rust-free condition overall with nice shine to the Calypso red metallic paint finish. Is it PERFECT? No.There are a few cosmetic imperfections including rock chips, some areas of clearcoat fading and peeling along with minor rock nicks, scratches and most notably unprofessionally touched up bumper with cracking to the area around the grilles. I would call this car a beautiful "ten-footer" with still excellent visual appeal.

THE INTERIOR
As I hope is articulated in the photos here, the interior of this car is in fair condition throughout. The lights, blinkers, horn and all other gages and controls function as they should.. There is some definite wear and tear specifically on the left side bolster of the drivers seat, the a/c is blowing hot, the sunroof is inoperative as is the stereo and center console control panel. Also the small sunroof switch panel needs new clips and reattachment and the upper glove box latch needs replacing.

THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE
This 1991 BMW starts perfectly, has excellent running engine with smooth turbine-like accelleration, crisp shifting transmission and confident handling from this two plus ton autobahn cruiser. The suspension is stout with good steering, there is a bit of shimmy that I believe is flat-spotting on the tires from sitting undriven for too long. At 25 years old, this classic pillarless coupe garners much attention on the road
