This mini was built with heavy consultation by Swiftune and with many of their components to make the ULTIMATE MINI. There was no cost to be spared, no corners to be cut, and the only goal was to make take the essence of what a Mini S was, and take it to the farthest extremes while not straying from what it should be. Think of this as a Mini version of a modified Porsche GT3RS. While still completely streetable, it is the furthest along a Mini could be taken without losing its essence. The designer had an unlimited budget and with swiftune's advice, had the knowledge to get the job done and forever raise the bar of what a streetable Mini could be. The Engine, Transmission, Suspension, Brakes, Body, and every other component were considered in conjunction with each to ensure a harmonious result and what resulted works as well together as any symphony in existence. Being built with an utter disregard for money or return on investment with an original build cost of over $35,000 (over $55,000 adjusted for inflation), this magnificent motorcar has the best of everything. The engine was built in house by swiftune with a blank check. All of their top end components were fitted to make the ultimate engine. It was then mated to a close ratio 4 speed transmission with hardened strait cut gears for the perfect shifts with the added bonus of the most glorious and gratifying transmission whistle that has been heard. Then there was the question of what to do with the body and the obvious choice was a Domino Body. It is a combination of Carbon, Kevlar, and Fiberglass that is then entirely Gel Coated for the ultimate finish. This is a true monocoque, meaning that the body is a single piece with no welds or pieces, exactly what you find in modern hyper cars. It offers the absolute best structural rigidity, weight savings and therefore handling. The cost was astronomical and the last available price from 2007 was over £15,000 (£19,783 adjusted for inflation or $25,114) and that was before shipping, import taxes, finishing, or install/build costs. In short, the finished body alone is over half the asking price of the car! It was then expertly finished in British Racing Green and equipped with a vinyl Union Jack on the roof (removable), stylish gold mini lite wheels, and constructed in S Trim with functioning dual fuel tanks offering better balance a longer range, and great style. Next, the suspension and brakes were addressed and for the power and light weight, upgraded components were fitted in every location. The suspension is fully adjustable, the brakes are large wildwood discs in front and new aluminum drums in the rear were fitted. All components were addressed and replaced with the best option, from forgoing the original point style distributor to a modern ignition style, to the high torque starter, to the aluminum radiator, and everything in between. Last was the interior, which was carefully selected to retain the mini essence. The seats are sporty but extremely comfortable and nothing is over the top. You will not find Connolly leather or Alcantara in this car, it holds true to itself. Having just received a fresh service, this example is truly turnkey and is ready to be enjoyed today.
